Get In Touch
Have a meal prep question? Want to share how your recipe turned out? Need help troubleshooting why your chicken dried out on day three? Drop me a note, I’d love to hear from you.
I get emails from parents dealing with the same challenges I face every Sunday: picky kids, limited time, containers that leak in backpacks, and the eternal question of whether that chicken is still safe on Thursday. If you’re wondering about it, chances are I’ve dealt with it.
Response time: 3-7 days (I work at the aquarium Tuesday Saturday and meal prep Sundays). During tax season (January-April), responses take longer, Rachel gets priority access to the meal prep containers and my evenings are full kid wrangling duty.
When emailing about recipe issues: The more details you share, the better I can help. Photos are great. “It didn’t turn out right” could mean anything from slightly dry chicken to accidental soup, so specifics help.
What I Can Help With
Meal prep workflow and timing, food safety questions (based on USDA/FDA guidelines), container recommendations, dealing with picky eaters (I have Jake, so trust me), reheating tips, cooling protocols, grocery shopping strategies.
What I Can’t Help With
I’m not a registered dietitian or doctor. I can’t provide medical nutrition advice, personalized diet plans, or guidance for managing health conditions through diet. I also can’t diagnose food poisoning or tell you if specific foods are safe for your medical conditions.
For medical dietary needs: Find a registered dietitian at eatright.org
Food poisoning emergency? See a doctor immediately. Report to Milwaukee Health Department: (414) 286-3616
Questions I Get Asked A Lot
- Can I substitute X ingredient?
Usually yes, but it depends. Email me the specific swap and I’ll let you know if it affects storage time or reheating. - My kid won’t eat leftovers.
Join the club. Jake calls them “old food” even if I made it yesterday. The deconstructed bowl method helps, email me and I’ll walk you through it. - Is this still safe to eat?
When in doubt, toss it out. But if you want to describe the situation (when you made it, how it was stored, current temp), I can help you understand the USDA guidelines.
